A sackful of Christmas games

It’s been a busy run-up to Christmas here at Team Cooper, we’ve been delivering a whole heap of Christmas games for our clients, who want to thank and engage their customers, clients and staff with a little more than an average e-card.

Here’s a round-up of a few customised off-the-shelf festive runners we’ve completed in a couple of weeks for a variety of clients.

Ferry Christmas

An updated Christmas game for ferry operator DFDS using our latest runner engine. We tailored the background graphics to include a stylised Nordic theme with ferry silhouettes and snow-capped mountains. Santa runs across custom platforms, including the company’s head office and buildings inspired by DFDS holiday destinations.

It has a neat two fold competition mechanic too, run over 500m for a chance to win free ferry crossings, but if you’re in the top 100 at the end of the campaign period, you’re in with a chance of winning a Nikon camera too. Great for building engagement, the game was in fact played over half a million times in December and with around 30,000 unique players; on average per person played 22 times! Amazing what a little healthy competition can do.

Optiswiss Christmas Game

Optiswiss are a leading manufacturer of lenses, based in Switzerland, they sell their lenses B2B through their online stores. They wanted a Christmas game which integrated seamlessly with each of their stores, automatically logging customer scores and prizes with their existing systems.

By running over a certain distance, each unique player can win a prize every day for five days, with each subsequent day the distance gets longer. The game recognises the user from their shop log-in and dynamically loads the correct content, in the correct language (one of three!) for the correct day for that user, unlocking a new prize at each appropriate level! Phew. Clever stuff.

This has proved to be a great competition mechanic, supporting customer loyalty and enticing multiple engagements with the brand across a prolonged period of time, 10 minutes per session on average.

LV= Broker Rooftop Runner

LV= insurance brokers opted for customised Christmas Runner, branded and coloured to represent their brand, with a generous free prize draw of £500 to the winner’s chosen charity. It certainly got LV= Broker’s clients playing again and again, an average of 12 times in fact.

Contigo Christmas Roof Runner

Contigo are a software development company working in the energy trading market, they wanted a fun game to reward staff and clients for their efforts over the year. Opting for the Christmas runner with tailored branding and colours and the chance for the winner to win £250 Amazon vouchers just before Christmas, very nice indeed.
